You can complete any of the Custom or Core AI lessons. When you’ve satisfied the lesson tasks, the lesson will automatically complete. Once you see the star rating screen, you’ve completed the lesson. Any bad faith shortcuts, or cheating on lessons will disqualify you from the refund.
If I start my streak and fail, can I restart it?
No. Once you’ve begun the challenge, you must complete all 25 days consecutively. The challenge begins when you redeem. If you miss even one day, you forfeit this particular challenge and won’t be able to attempt the 25-day streak again for a refund.
How long does it take to complete a lesson?
It takes between 5 and 15 minutes to complete a lesson depending on your speed and proficiency.
When does my challenge start?
Your challenge starts when you redeem your code.
What happens if I don’t finish 25 consecutive lessons?
You keep Premium for the rest of the year, but the refund offer is forfeited.
How does the refund process work after I complete 25 lessons?
Once your streak calendar shows 25 consecutive days with a flame icon, contact our support team. We’ll verify your streak and trigger your full refund over PayPal within 3 business days.
Can I switch my target language during the challenge? Yes. You can switch languages anytime, but each daily lesson must still be completed to maintain your streak.
Can I use real-time audio chat rooms instead of AI lessons to maintain my streak?
No. Only completing the designated AI tutor lessons (each counting as one lesson) will register on your streak calendar. However, you can still join audio chat rooms for extra practice.
Do I have to complete the same lesson format every day (e.g., grammar lessons)?
Not necessarily. Any AI tutor lesson or custom lesson you start and finish on that day counts toward your streak, so you have flexibility in which lesson types to do.
What if I miss a day—can I pick up where I left off?
Missing even one day will break your streak. You can continue learning, but you’ll need to start a new 25-day streak for the refund.
What if I finish 25 lessons in fewer than 25 calendar days?
Each ‘lesson day’ must occur on a separate calendar day. Completing multiple lessons in one day still only counts as one daily streak increment.
Can current Premium members join this 20-25 Challenge?
Yes, but you must purchase a new code during this promotional period. You will have a 1 year code sent to your inventory. You can apply this code anytime. At the time of purchasing the code, you will be entered into the challenge. You will just need to have premium active to participate in this challenge.
Is this offer available worldwide?
Yes, the special discount and challenge are accessible worldwide.
Do I have to pay anything extra for AI lessons?
No. With Premium, AI lessons, custom lesson generation, and role-play scenarios are included at no additional cost.
What forms of payment do you accept?
Payments are processed through PayPal.
How do I redeem my code in the app?
After purchasing, you’ll receive a unique code through your email. Click the link in your email to Download the Hilokal app. This link will open a secret screen in the app for you to enter your code. If for some reason you don’t see this screen, you can continue to create your account. Skip the subscription screen and navigate to your Profile Page. On the Profile page you can tap the ‘2025 Challenge’ button, and input your code here to activate your 1 year subscription.
Can I pause my subscription if I get busy?
There’s no pause feature. If you stop using Premium mid-challenge, the streak will end.
I already have Premium, can I participate?
Yes! You can participate. Instead of getting 1 year premium sent to your account immediately after redeeming your code, you will get 12 x 1-month premium memberships sent to your inventory. Your inventory can be found at your profile page in Hilokal mobile app. You can redeem these 1 month premium memberships anytime. You can also gift friends!
